Heart Bowl Fillers

Hello everyone. Just wanted to share some pics of what I have been working on but first take a look out our back door. It's a sea of snow. We probably got 5 inches of new snow since last night and more expected tonight with the winds picking up. Needless to say, I wont be venturing out any time soon. So no better time than now to get some of my crafting projects done that I have been wanting to do. My DH got me a new sewing machine for Christmas and I couldn't wait to try it out. I have to say that sewing is not one of my talents but now that I have a machine, I can practice and maybe get a little better. I wanted a machine to make simple things like pillows and new I could find some easy patterns to do. So I started cruzin the net and found this easy bowl filler heart pattern over at http://www.rabbithollowprims.com/patterns.html. I thought they would be cute tucked in my wood bowls since Valentines day is just around the corner. I normally don't do much decorating for Valentines day but these just looked so cute and easy. You could also put some string on them and use these as ornaments.

Here they are in one of my lil wood bowls.
They were so simple, I thought why not make some bigger ones? So I made a pattern and cut these out and stitched these up last night. As you can see I still have to sew them and stuff them but I think they turned out pretty cute.
Well that's it for now. I will be back with some more projects soon. I have a little side table that's just waiting for a coat of paint. I will post pictures when I get that started. Everyone enjoy your day and stay in safe and snug. Not much else you can do with the bad weather. IS IT SPRING YET?

Sherri, your little heart fillers are really cute! They would look great on a little tree too. Some for the bowl, some for the tree! Have fun with your sewing machine!

Thank you so much for your suggestion on my blog in regard to the bold font, I went back and redid it...I think it is better! Your blog is neat, and I went on to ebay and ordered that quote....they have lots of neat ones and they are reasonably priced.
Have a great day!
